Bookies backing Brewster to make move to Palace

-

CRYSTAL Palace are the favourites to sign Rhian Brewster from Liverpool this summer.

The striker was not included in the Reds’ squad for their Premier League wins over Leeds United and Chelsea.

Several clubs have linked with a move for the frontman in recent weeks, although Palace chairman Steve Parish rubbished claims his side had submitted a bid for Brewster.

However, Roy Hodgson’s men are now the 8/11 favourites with Sky Bet to sign the Englishman in the current transfer window.

Sheffield United are desperate to add to their forward options, with Chris Wilder recently admitting he had made contact with Jurgen Klopp over a potential deal for Brewster.

“Rhian is one we have talked about and talked to Liverpool about,” said Wilder.

“We’re looking to bring another one in at the top end of the pitch.”

And the Blades are the 11/10 second favourites to secure the services of Brewster.

Aston Villa and Brighton are much further back at 16/1 and 20/1 respectively to sign the 20-year-old.

And Swansea come in at fifth, with Steve Cooper’s men way back at 25/1 to re-sign Brewster following his successful loan stint with the club last season.

The striker scored 11 goals in 22 appearances for the Swans in the latter half of the 2019/20 campaign as Cooper’s side reached the Championship play-offs in dramatic fashion.

Swansea would only be able to sign Brewster on a loan deal, and Cooper appears resigned to missing out on the forward as things currently stand.

He remains determined to sign at least one striker in the coming weeks, with Brighton’s Viktor Gyokeres understood to be a target.
