POTENTIAL LOCAL LOCKDOWN AND TREE VANDALISM

A Swansea doctor warned about the potential of local lockdown for the city. Here’s what you said . . .

LYNWEN A WILCOX Provided people stick to the guidelines going to the local is no problem. It’s when large groups think they are immune and the pandemic is still a joke. We cannot continue with rising numbers, the NHS and key workers have done such a brilliant job. Also, financially - how long can we go on?! LISA HOPKINS I’m waiting for it! And some individuals still won’t listen. I honestly don’t know what it’s gonna take for some people to take it seriously. JILL COOK Don’t worry you can still buy food, go out for walks and speak to people outside your home. PATRICIA DAVIES If you were shielded last time what about this time? No information given. DEAN DUCKO DAVIES Well if you don’t want people to meet up in pubs shut them down completely.

Trees planted by children are ripped down by vandals. Here’s what you said about it . . .

DAVID FLYNN What is wrong with people doing this? If caught make them pay for the tree . . . I may be wrong in saying this that they should have their photos in the paper so everyone can see what they have done. FAY ISAAC David Flynn I agree with naming and shaming even if they are under 16. There are too many youngsters getting away with vandalism. I hope the new surf centre in Caswell will be made vandal-proof as that will be a target for them. MARIO DEMARCO It’s time to bring back teaching respect and responsible behaviour, and stop making excuses.
