Bluestone has donated nearly 150 items, with a monetary value of over £1,500, to Xcel since June 2019. The items include leather sofas, furniture and electrical appliances, which are available to the county’s residents.

Xcel Furniture is a nonprofit furniture recycling centre in Johnstown, which collects, recycles and sells second-hand furniture and white goods. Dave Insull, centre manager at Xcel, said: “The trustees of Towy Community Church Ltd have been delighted with the partnership we enjoy with Bluestone Wales in our recycling operation.

“As a result of their kind donations to date we have been able to provide 148 items to the public, many of which are given to people in need, as well as purchases from customers on lower incomes, which in turn supports the ongoing work of the charity.

“Bluestone has demonstrated great awareness of the need in local communities and a willingness to create strategic partnership with third sector providers such as ourselves. We look forward to growing our relationship.”
