How they rated

- BY IAN MITCHELMORE

FREDDIE WOODMAN

Helpless for Coventry’s opener but was otherwise solid. Reacted well to thwart Callum O’hare.

BEN CABANGO

Sloppy in possession in the first half, but defensively sound. Made numerous interceptions and clearances.

MARC GUEHI

Another solid showing from the Chelsea loanee, who didn’t really let anything get beyond him.

CONNOR ROBERTS

Barely threatened offensively in the first half and had a tough task on his hands when it came to dealing with Ryan Giles. Improved in the second half and was dangerous on the right. Cleared off the line late on.

KOREY SMITH

Gritty display in midfield, although Smith was guilty of losing possession at times. Should have done better with a shot in the second half too.

MATT GRIMES

Sloppy pass in the build-up to Coventry’s opener but atoned for that error with a sublime through ball for Bidwell when Swansea equalised. Defensive work was decent.

JAKE BIDWELL

Grew in confidence in the first half and did brilliantly to claim an assist for Andre Ayew. Booked.

VIKTOR GYOKERES

Had a tame header saved in the opening half, but was too wasteful and struggled to bring others into play. Hooked at the break.

ANDRE AYEW

Provided the spark Swansea so desperately needed and took his goal brilliantly to get Swansea level. The best of the three that started in attacking positions for Swansea.

JAMAL LOWE

Volleyed well over in the first half and struggled to make an impact in the final third. A very tough night for the summer signing. Replaced.

STARMAN: RYAN BENNETT

Making his Swansea debut, the defender’s best efforts were not enough to prevent the visitors from going behind. Sublime tackle to thwart Matty Godden after the restart, though, and made some important interventions.
