THE ultimate experience for prosecco lovers will be heading to two Welsh cities later this year.

For those who have missed sharing a bottle of fizz with friends, providing the planned easing of lockdown restrictions heads in the right direction, there will be a special Prosecco Festival heading to Swansea and Cardiff.

Plans are in place for the event to be held at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday, July 24, while the Swansea event has been rescheduled to return to the Brangwyn Hall on Saturday, November 13.

It was announced earlier this week that outdoor hospitality would be able to reopen in Wales on April 26, while it is hoped that businesses will be able to reopen indoors by the bank holiday at the end of May.

Described as the UK’S “biggest and original festival for prosecco lovers”, the event will feature a huge selection of fizz, gin and cocktails, as well as the UK’S largest selection of prosecco served by the glass.

On entry you will be given a free welcome glass of prosecco, a branded wristband and you’ll even get a branded prosecco flute to take home with you.

There will be live music, and if you fancy a bite to eat there will be an Italian food stand, as well as various snacks and nibbles.

For those who aren’t too keen on bubbles, there will also be a Peroni stand on hand.

The Swansea event will run from 12.30pm until 5pm.

The Cardiff event offers two slots, with the first between 12.30pm and 5pm and the second from 6.30pm until 11pm.

General tickets start from £11.50, with VIP area admissions priced at £36.50. There is an option to secure a table of 10 which starts at £365.
