Two further deaths as infection rate drops

-

ALL local authority areas in Wales have had fewer than 50 cases for every 100,000 people in the last week.

A further two people have died with Covid in Wales and another 126 positive cases identified.

Yesterday’s figures published by Public Health Wales show the total number of cases diagnosed in Wales since the outbreak began is 209,942.

The total number of people to have died in Wales within a month of testing positive for the virus has risen to 5,521.

The reported number of cases includes the 48hour period up to 9am on Easter Monday, which explains why the case numbers are higher than anticipated.
