AFTER 85 years in business, LHP Accountants has merged with KRC Chartered Accountants in Cross Hands, to expand its cloud specialist services in South Wales.

The new merger of KRC Chartered Accountants and LHP Chartered Accountants this week, involves LHP taking up premises situated in Cross Hands, nearby to the popular Leekes premises.

The new practice, LHP Accountants, will continue to provide a ‘business as usual’ service, by building on the excellent reputation and level of service KRC has delivered.

LHP has a long tradition of specialising in hospitality, including restaurants, professional services, engineering and construction sectors, in addition to tourism and agriculture, and has seen its client base grow significantly across West Wales in recent years - especially in light of the ‘Making Tax Digital’ changes.

With additional offices in Carmarthen, Haverfordwest, Tenby and Lampeter, LHP has seen a big increase in business advisory services, a valuable asset for established businesses and new start-ups.

Furthermore, LHP is one of the largest firms in Wales, providing cloud and software solutions to clients with Xero and Quickbooks.

LHP director, Janet Collins said: “It’s great to be now servicing the area I live in and act as a local councillor. I will be holding the baton at the practice with director Dafydd Rees and our mission remains the same as it was 85 years ago; helping businesses thrive, adapt and grow.

“As Xero Platinum Partners, we will help clients hold accurate and up-to-date financial information, as well as providing a strong tax department specialising in Capital Gains Tax, probate and inheritance tax planning.

“We can assure you that those companies looking for business advisory and specialist support services, will find them in LHP.”

With LHP’S recent expansion into Tenby in recent months, the 67-strong staff team is able to offer a comprehensive tax planning service, as well as an extensive payroll team, guiding clients through all the changes in real-time information, pensions and Covid-19 updates including furlough.

The team at Cross Hands will be managed on a daily basis by Operations Manager Sajid Chowdhury, with LHP directors Janet Collins and Dafydd Rees, meeting clients and providing a stable base for the company.

LHP director, Dafydd Rees said: “I’m really pleased to be working closely with the team at Cross Hands. The locality is really close to where I live and coach junior football and rugby, in nearby Drefach and Cefneithin.

“Cross Hands is an exciting location for us - especially close to many businesses we hope to support across South Wales.”

Managing director of LHP, Matthew Williams, said: “We are committed to providing KRC clients with the stability and consistency they deserve, but with the added support of being one of the largest cloud and bookkeeping companies in Wales.

“We are excited to be servicing the region - Cross Hands is a great outreach for many important towns and cities including Ammanford, Llanelli, Swansea, Port Talbot, Bridgend and Cardiff. It’s great to hear from Kahn Rahman, how the varied range of businesses are doing, in this part of Wales.’’

Director of KRC, Kahn Rahman added: “We’ve worked so hard over the years to build a strong, professional and personal relationship with KRC clients. I’m really pleased LHP has agreed to merge with the practice and hope to build client relationships further, for many years to come.

“We really believe LHP is a great fit for us to help manage client expectations and beyond. Our team is excited to join forces with this thriving firm.”

LHP extends an open invitation to all clients to visit them at the office in Cross Hands (socially distanced) or arrange a video call via info@lhp.co.uk over the next few weeks to discuss any concerns they may have. Alternatively, directors are more than happy to visit client premises.
