Star says emotional farewell to Faith

FANS of Eve Myles’s Faith Howells said goodbye to the passionate character as Keeping Faith ended for good.

The main star of the show, Myles, paid an emotional tribute to her own mother at the ending of the show, saying she couldn’t share the third series with her. She also thanked fans.

The Swansea Valley actor wrote on Twitter: “I want to say THANK YOU to every single person who has supported & spread the word about us. I couldn’t share this series with my beautiful mum, who was a lot like Faith. I struggle to express how grateful I am to you all for being there for me and Faith.”

Viewers saw the titular character win her appeal to get sick teenager Osian the operation he needed but suffer painful losses in the closing hour of the BBC Wales/s4c-made show.

Fans were emotional that the show was coming to an end.

@SL_DEE73 wrote on Twitter: “Really can’t believe that’s the end of #keepingfai­th it’s been absolutely amazing to watch. Love @Teamevemyl­es as Faith and will miss her strength in fighting for her family. Great writing & great casting. Thank you.”

Keeping Faith has been a hit since its launch back in February 2018 and it’s also aired on S4C as Un Bore Mercher.

The music and the scenery enchanted fans as much as the mystery surroundin­g Faith Howells and her missing husband who are played by real-life couple Myles and Bradley Freeguard.

Just last week the couple announced they were expecting their third child.
