CHOPSTIX will officially open its new restaurant in Swansea city centre next week, with the venue creating 15 jobs.

Excitement has been building for the Pan-asian noodle chain’s arrival since we first reported that plans for it to open had been lodged with Swansea Council.

And now the chain has announced it will be welcoming its first customers on Monday, November 11, after a £250,000 investment in the 1,200sq ft restaurant.

Located at 806 Oxford Street, it will include the brand’s ‘living wall’ and some new screen features, including the debut of the ‘animated Chopstix Anime Girl’ along with the now famous decor reflecting the ethos of the Chopstix brand.

Customers will be able to enjoy a host of Pan-asian flavours including salt ‘n’ pepper chicken, as well as customer favourites chicken katsu curry and caramel drizzle chicken.

And there will be giveaways too, as throughout the launch week Chopstix will be giving away 1,000 portions of its crunchy and crispy rice paper stuffed vegetable spring rolls.

You’ll have to download a free voucher from its website, and the giveaway will be on a first come, first served basis.

Marketing director for Chopstix, Rob Burns, said: “We’re really excited to announce we’re coming to Swansea. It’s a massive city, the second largest in Wales and we’re really excited about the chance to bring our brand to the masses. We’re looking forward to getting to know the locals and mixing things up with our Faster, Fresher, Tastier way!

“We also have some exciting things planned for the launch week so watch this space.”

The new restaurant is just the latest in the expansion plans of the group, with more store launches to be announced in the upcoming months. Thirty more sites are expected to be unveiled over the next three years, with more to come in Wales.

Chopstix currently has restaurants in Bridgend and Cardiff among its 72 eateries across the country, including franchise units, employing more than 700 staff.

The noodle bar’s popular dishes are also available to order from Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.
