WAUNARLWYDD Galaxy picked up their first point of the season in division one of the David W Harris Solicitiors Swansea Senior League in an entertaining 1-1 draw with Brynawel at Halfway Park.

Liam Stiens, who has recently come back to the game, netted for the hosts, while Liam Butler scored for the visitors.

Despite Callum Hook netting another superb goal for Port Tennant Colts, it wasn’t enough to stop an in-form Blaenymaes from winning 4-1. Blaenymaes sit in fourth place thanks to two goals each from Nicholas Price and Dylan

Jones.

In the other game played on Saturday in division one, leaders Rockspur Fords, having possibly their finest ever season, hammered bottom team Sandfields 6-0 thanks to another Matthew Hughes hattrick, a brace from Richard Jeremiah and a bit of magic from Ryan Trick, who has a wand of a left foot.

In division two, Ragged School moved into fourth spot after beating bottom side Kingsbridge 3-0. Corey Jones, with a brace, and an own goal helped Ragged continue their promotion chase.

Llangyfelach beat Treboeth United 2-1 for the second Saturday in succession – with the same goal scorers, Callum Boyce and Ben Scannell. Luke Geer netted for the hosts, who sit just outside the relegation places.

In division three, newly-formed FC Bonymaen maintained their 100% start to the season with a 7-3 away win over Cwmfelin Press thanks to goals from Ben Dennis (2), club sec Dean Gardener, Ross Mogridge and a well-taken hat-trick from Dean Green.

CRC Olympic thrashed Union Rangers 10-1, although after 25 minutes the score was still 0-0.

But CRC Olympic started penetrating the Rangers midfield and rearguard and goals came from Thomas Coe (3), Jack Jenkins, Carl Morris (2), Jamie Dickerson (2), Ben Neale and Liam Jenkins.

Maltsters Sports beat Gors 6-1, Gors’s first defeat in the league this season, and it followed their heavy defeat by Waunarlwydd in the West Wales Cup the previous weekend.

Maltsters’ goals came from Kieran Haley (3), James Norman (2) and Tom Ogden, and it leaves Maltsters, Gors and CRC Olympic all on 12 points at the top.
