Seven more deaths recorded

A FURTHER seven people have died with coronaviru­s in Wales according to the latest figures from Public Health Wales.

New figures published yesterday show there were also 2,408 new positive cases and the latest seven-day infection rate across now stands at 521.2 – a rise from the 512.5 reported on Friday.

But the number of patients in hospital with coronaviru­s has seemingly peaked.

The areas of the country recording the highest numbers of new Covid cases are Cardiff with 256, Gwynedd with 188, Rhondda Cynon Taf with 164 and Swansea with 155. Powys had 107 cases, Carmarthen­shire had 105, and Neath Port Talbot had 94.
