A RESCUE centre in Llanharan has shared pictures of a puppy previously rescued from a puppy farm now settled into a new home.

Sharing the images on their Facebook page, the Hope Rescue post reads: “We were over the moon to receive this wonderful update of Twirl now named Affy who arrived in our care from a puppy farm recently.

“These dogs have all been through so much and we couldn’t be happier to see them beginning to learn to trust.”

Affy was one of nearly 200 dogs rescued from a puppy farm in Carmarthenshire in September, and one of 47 taken in by Hope Rescue.

She is just one example of the complete lifestyle change these dogs have experienced, having never been inside a

home before to now being spoilt with warm bedding and cuddles.

Hope Rescue also shared a quote from Affy’s new owners, which reads: “We are all settling in well and Affy (formerly Twirl) is getting a little more confident each day.

“Very much baby steps though. She loves cuddling with her new big sister Kita, to the extent that I’ve had to buy some comically enormous beds to let them stretch out at the same time!”

She was rescued as part of a

multi-agency operation headed by the National Trading Standards Regional Investigation Team along with the police, various rescue centres and local authorities.

Over 200 breeding and stud dogs along with newly born puppies were rescued from an unlicensed breeder.

Hope Rescue took in five nursing mums and 18 puppies, five pregnant mums and 19 other adult dogs including Bichon Frises, Shihtzus, Cockerpoos, Cavaliers, Labradors and Cocker Spaniels.
