What have the coaches said? Swansea City technical development coach Matt Gill: “We have watched the game back from Monday, the first 60-65 minutes was outstanding and that is something we have spoken about, being the team we want to be away from home, and you have seen that in the recent games against Millwall and Cardiff.

“But there is a lot to learn from that final 30 minutes and we’ve felt a lot of pain over last couple of days.

“But we will learn from it and become better from it. It does not make it easier to take, there have been sleepless nights since, but you do learn when you go through these things.” Middlesbrough boss Chris Wilder: “They do pose incredible challenges for whoever they play against. They’re a possession-based team.

“They can score, and they can concede.

“We can’t score and we don’t concede! I haven’t got a clue how this one is going to go.

“They’ve got some really technical players.

They’re a front foot side and their results speak for themselves. They’re in form so nothing is a given. When we get on that coach I expect us to give everything, as we have done.”

Swansea became the first ever side to achieve a league double in the 110-year history of the fixture after securing a pair of victories against the Bluebirds.

Fans and players alike fully enjoyed the celebrations after the triumph at Cardiff City Stadium, one which meant Swansea defeated their rivals by an aggregate scoreline of 7-0 this term.
