Caerbryn undone by injury-time winner

FC Carmarthen left it late before winning 4-3 at Caerbryn in the Carmarthen­shire League’s Challenge Cup second round.

They grabbed a winner in the 91st minute. Tomas Walters was the hero with two goals, and there was one each for Osian Thomas and Lewis Byng.

It was disappoint­ing for Caerbryn, who lost despite goals by Lewis Rees and Olly Dymond and a Kieran Jones penalty.

In the third round, Joel Andrews scored two in Camford Sports’ 3-0 win at home to Drefach. Shaun Roberts added a third.

Carmarthen­shire League division one champions Felinfoel produced a magnificen­t performanc­e to knock Seaside out 3-2 on their own ground in the second round of the TG Davies Senior Cup. Jordan Badman scored two goals and Chris James the other for Foel.

Striker Jamie Jenkins netted a hat-trick for Trostre AFC, who beat a battling Burry Port side 7-4 at home. Chris Waters scored two, and there was one each for Ashton Jones and Liam Jones.

It was much tougher in the derby between Loughor Rovers and visiting Pengelli United, who edged a 3-1 win thanks to Riley Lewis, James Richards and James Kitt Griffiths.

In the second round of the TG Davies Plate, Drefach edged a 1-0 win at neighbours Tumble United, who conceded an own goal in the 10th minute.

It took 120 minutes to settle the Darch Cup semi-final between Felinfoel Reserves and Trostre AFC Reserves.

Trostre lasted the pace the better, winning 5-3 through goals from Elliot Lloyd, Cameron Dickeson, Curtis Evans, Ashley Lewis and Jonny Thomas.

Keeper Dylan Thomas saved three penalties for Caerbryn, who knocked out Dafen Reserves 3-1 in a shootout after the tie had finished 3-3 after extra time.

Olly Diamond, Arwel Gravell and Kieran Jones scored from the spot for Caerbryn. Lewis Rees netted two of the goals in normal time for Caerbryn, while Kieran Jones also netted.

Ammanford Town A completed their division two programme by beating CP Suburbs 5-1 at home thanks to goals by Taylor Harries, Kyle Grazette, Fin Jeffries, Shaun Watkins and Rhodri Bowen.

Playing their last league game of the season in reserve division three, Caerbryn beat visiting CP Suburbs 3-1 thanks to first-half goals by Iwan Easton, Dylan Thomas and Darren Jones.

Felinfoel beat Llandovery 7-1 in the Challenge Cup quarter-final. Curtis Evans scored a hat-trick. Chris James (2), Lee Owens and Matthew Ellis also netted.
