A HOST of celebrities and football stars will line up to pay tribute to Swansea City fan Nev Wilshire.

Businessman and entrepreneur Wilshire, who was the much-loved focal point of hit reality TV series The Call Centre, died last December at the age of 61.

The forthcoming Sellebrity Soccer match kicks off at the Swansea.com Stadium at 3pm on Saturday, May 29, and will feature a star-studded lineup. Former Swans stars Lee Trundle, Leon Britton and Jazz Richards will play alongside a number of actors, musicians and reality TV stars.

Love Island’s Dan Osborne is the latest name confirmed from the world of celebrity, with Calum Best, James Argent and Stevi Ritchie among the other names announced.

Tickets remain on sale, with money raised to be donated to cancer charity Maggie’s, which Nev supported.

His death was met with an outpouring of sadness as well as love for the father-of-four, whose larger-thanlife character made him as much of a hit with TV viewers as it did with friends and colleagues.

Born in Pennard, Gower, in 1960, he started his career working for a builders’ merchant, before moving into sales. At the age of 24, he set up his own company, Central Heating Services, which turned over £4.8m at its peak before going under in 1996.

Nev became CEO of Save Britain Money in 2010, and it was in this role that he shot to fame in the fly-on-the-wall BBC Three documentary The Call Centre.
