Funding for county events made available

-

EVENT organisers in Neath Port Talbot can bid to get their hands on up to £10,000 to put on events in the county.

Neath Port Talbot Council is inviting applications to its Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Events (HCTE) Fund for large and small scale events.

This funding, made available through the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF), is aimed at helping public, private and third sector organisations to create a wide-ranging portfolio of large and small scale events and festivals across Neath Port Talbot.

The funding is now open for organisations to apply for 100% of the maximum funding of up to £10,000 of eligible spend per event.

The new fund will ensure there are opportunities for event organisers to apply for funding to increase the range of events that take place across the county borough.

The funding must be used to support new activity or elements of existing events that are in addition to routine activity.

Potential applicants who could benefit from grant funding for their event must complete an Expression of Interest Form and if they are eligible will be invited to submit a full application by the HCTE Team.

The events and festivals encouraged by the new fund highlight the importance of, and support the future growth of, local heritage, culture and environmental understanding within Neath Port Talbot and will also encourage overnight stays within the area.

Events will need to be delivered and funding claimed in full by December 31 this year.
