Online page to help pay for cost of funeral

A FUNDRAISING page has been set up to help pay for the funeral of Steph Shevlin.

Mickyla Peberdy, who has set up the GoFundMe page, said: “As people are aware, no-one is prepared for their own funeral especially at the age of 22.

“I did not know Steph but spoke to her and her girlfriend at the start of the night and at the end of the night.

“I was the one holding Steph’s head until the ambulance arrived. I feel like I helped as much as I could at this point.

“I feel like I should go the extra mile and help Steph’s family out by setting up this page to help towards Steph’s send-off.

“Please can everyone share this and donate as much as you can.”

Since the page was set up on Monday night, hundreds of pounds has been raised.

People are now being urged to be generous and help Steph’s family as they come to terms with the devastating news about her death.

Mickyla added: “I have set the target for £1,000.

“It would be amazing if we could raise this as a community and anything above this would be phenomenal! Please share guys!

“Thoughts go out to the family and close friends from everyone. RIP Steph”
