Nominate resort’s hospitality heroes
PEOPLE are invited to submit their nominations for the 2016 Southport Ambassador Awards (the Ammies).
The event, which will take place on Thursday, November 3, celebrates the work of the Southport people within the hospitality, tourism, leisure and retail industry.
Following the huge success of last year’s ceremony, the event will again take place at Southport Theatre and Convention Centre.
There are, however, some changes to this year’s entry format and categories – including a completely new category to recognise Outstanding Customer Service.
This award combines the previous categories of Most Helpful Retail Assistant, Most Helpful Visitor Attraction Employee and Most Welcoming Receptionist into one category which recognises a member of staff who provides an exceptional Southport welcome and a service second to none, with excellent knowledge of their business and tourism in Southport.
This category is open to receptionists, retail assistants, attraction staff and anyone working front of house in a tourism or hospitality business.
In addition, the Ammies team has pre-selected the top six businesses across the region, to win the following awards: Best Retail Environment, Best Restaurant, Best Bar, Best Chippy, Best Tea Room / Coffee Shop, Most Family Friendly Attraction.
Other categories include; Best Waiter/Waitress, Best Chef, Best Bar Tender, Team of the Year, Young Person of the Year, Southport’s Best Sandwich and Accommodation of the Year.
A wide scope of businesses will be highlighted at the awards ceremony – all of which make a significant contribution.
We urge the people across the Southport region to submit their entries early to ensure their chosen business has the best possible chance of being recognised.
