Shock and roll at Hallowe’en event

AHALLOWE’EN Rock Weekender is taking place at Pontins, in Southport.

The event is being organised by The Original Cruisers, who host a charity event to celebrate Hallowe’en and to end the rally season for all the bikers.

Charlie Brown, from the group, said: “The Original Cruisers Hallowe’en Rock Weekend has been running for about six years.

“We raise funds to support The North West Air Ambulance, as they have helped a lot of our biker friends, so we like to give back to them.”

This year’s Rock Weekender will run from Thursday, October 13, until Sunday, October 16.

Charlie said: “If you love your rock music, this is the place to be. We have a selection of 10 great bands performing for us and our resident Rock DJ Gary Rok Jok.

“We have special Hallowe’en themed daytime entertainm­ent and some extra surprises to keep us all in the spirit of Hallowe’en. The Saturday brings the spectacula­r Fancy Dress Night.

“Everyone there takes part by dressing up in some amazing costumes.

“Each year, we host the event to over 1,000 people, who come from all over the country to support The Original Cruisers.”

Wristbands are £15 each and £5 for under 15 years. Once you have your wristbands. you can book chalets for £28pp and an extra £10pp for the Thursday night.

To get your wristbands, send a cheque, payable to C Brown, with a stamped, self-addressed envelope and a note to say how many wristbands you require to:
