Pleasureland ready to scare you with new After Dark experience

SOUTHPORT Pleasureland’s After Dark is the newest Hallowe’en attraction coming to the amusement park this October.

The new 16+ Hallowe’en-theme festival will change the face of the amusement park from its familyfriendly daytime Happy Hallowe’en attraction to something much darker.

The park has transformed its overgrown, abandoned zoo and its original animal enclosures into a scare house attraction.

Once families have cleared the park, the After Dark experience will see guests lured onto spooky rides by Typhus, the psycho clown, who has a craving for others’ fears. They’ll be able to flee, but only by running through the terrifying Zombie Zoo.

The Pleasureland After Dark team is searching for the region’s best screams, in partnership with Capital Radio Liverpool as part of the station’s Make Some Noise charity initiative. Phone-in auditions will take place tomorrow (Friday October 14) and participants will get the chance to win one of six places for them and three mates to scream for real at the VIP opening of the event. The winner will also be providing a sound track for some of the attraction’s marketing and the event itself. From 6pm-10pm, the After Dark ticket covers the scare houses, the Zombie Zoo and rides. Both Happy Hallowe’en and After Dark also offer a special unlimited rides deal which is only available online in advance. Pleasureland’s Happy Hallowe’en is a daytime only event that runs from Saturday October 22 to Sunday October 30. After Dark runs in the evening after 6pm from Friday October 21 to Monday October 31.
