COMMUNITY Link Foundation is encouraging everyone to have some festive fun by pulling on a Christmas jumper!

After the success of the Christmas Jumper Day held locally last year, it is organising it again this year and is encouraging people to have fun while fundraising!

The charity helps people in Southport, Ormskirk, Formby and surrounding areas who need financial support in a variety of ways.

It is hoping that people will join in the fun and wear their finest festive knitwear for a day in December in exchange for a small donation.

Last year saw schools, businesses and community groups taking part and the foundation would love to have even more people join in this year.

It suggests a date of December 9, the second Friday of the month, but would be delighted for people to take part on a day to suit them.

Enda Rylands, chair of the Community Link Foundation, said: “We are really hoping that people will get involved with this once again and have some fun, whether it’s with your work colleagues or part of the end of term festivities at school.

“Everyone loves putting on a Christmas jumper and it would be great if we could benefit from that!

“We are hopeful that as well as it raising money, it will also spread the word about what we do and encourage people to apply to us for funding.”

If you want to take part or would like more information, please email nkenyon@clfoundation.co.uk or look up Community Link Foundation on Facebook and Twitter.
