WE have got a busy couple of months coming up, and we’re encouraging you to join in with us!

On November 5, Pleasureland is holding a bonfire and fireworks display which is set to be a great night for families.

Pleasureland’s owner Norman Wallis has kindly asked Community Link Foundation if we would like to do collections on the night.

So if you see us please come and have a chat with us about CLF and if you feel able, please make a donation.

The following week, on November 11, we are holding a celebrity darts night at the Ramada Plaza Hotel.

The event has been sponsored by Anthony James Estate Agents and is going to be a night to remember.

The voice of darts, Russ Bray, will be the MC for the night, along with dancers to entertain the audience.

There will be a knockout tournament and a Grand Final.

The winner will receive a trophy and £1,000 prize money.

The evening will begin with a three-course meal and finish with a disco with Jeff Wall.

Then, on December 9, we are holding our second Christmas jumper day and we would love local businesses, organisations, and individuals to join us in exchange for a small donation to Community Link Foundation.

If people can’t take part that day, then we would be delighted for them to take part on a day to suit them.

Enda Rylands, chairman of Community Link Foundation, said: “We are very grateful to Pleasureland for their invitation to collect at the fireworks and we know it’s going to be a great event.

“We are also very grateful to everyone who is supporting the darts night, whether that’s through sponsorship or buying tickets.

“We are also really keen to hear from people who would like to join in with the Christmas Jumper day.

“We are hopeful that as well as it raising money, it will also spread the word about what we do.”

Community Link Foundation helps people in Southport, Ormskirk, Formby and surrounding areas who need financial support in a variety of ways.
