SOUTHPORT Rugby Football Club on Waterloo Road hosts its firework extravagan­za on Friday, November 4.

The event features an outside bar, barbecue and hot food and mulled wine.

Crowds can also enjoy songs from the past years from cover band The Whiskey Chasers.

The group will be playing hits from Abba to The Zutons; from The Killers to The Police.

Pre-sale tickets are £3 for children and £5 for over 12s, available from the club – £1 extra on the door.

HALSALL Bonfire Party is being held at Halsall St Cuthbert’s School on New Street, Halsall on Saturday, November 5.

Gates open from 6pm. Fireworks start at around 7.30pm.

Admission is adults £5 and children and students £1.

There will be different stalls on the night, including BBQ, candyfloss, jacket potatoes, soup, hotpot, refreshmen­ts, sweets, Glowie stall, coconut shy, and more.

SOUTHPORT Pleasurela­nd hosts a bonfire fireworks display on Saturday November 5.

The park will be open from 11am. All rides are £1 all day.

At around 7pm the park’s giant bonfire will be lit and the fireworks display will start at 8pm approx.

Entrance to the park is free.

The Hightown Club is hosting its annual family bonfire and fireworks event on Saturday November 5.

The evening starts at 6.30pm in the clubhouse, where children’s entertaine­r Mr Trix will perform his comedy magic show.

The bonfire will be lit at 7.45pm and fireworks will commence at 8pm.

A range of hot and cold food will be available, including an ice cream van, hot dogs, chips and sweets, and the club bar will remain open after the fireworks. Entry fees can be paid on the gate and will be £5 for adults and £3 for children.
