IT’S now November which can only mean one thing... it’s nearly Christmas. And we have just the solution to give you a financial boost to help with all the Christmas shopping.
CLF has a monthly lottery called the 600 Club and every month one person wins £1,000.
An additional five people win £100 each month.
Only 600 people are allowed in the club and if we get more than 600 members then we will start another club.
So, the odds of winning are always pretty high.
It costs just £5 a month and by being a member of the lottery you will be helping Community Link Foundation to raise money that can be used to help people and organisations in the local area who have applied for funding.
The foundation awards grants to applicants who are experiencing ill health, disability, poverty and other disadvantages.
Also on the Christmas theme, we are planning our second Christmas jumper day and would love local businesses, schools, community groups and individuals to join in with the fun.
We are holding the event on December 9 and are encouraging people to wear their Christmas jumper for the day in exchange for a small donation to Community Link Foundation.
The money raised will then be distributed within the local community through our grant application process.
