ASOUTHPORT lad’s best man speech has gone viral with nearly two million views.

Guests at the Taylor wedding at Formby Hall on Sunday received a shock when 13-year-old Dylan from Birkdale delivered his speech as his dad’s best man.

The only people who knew what Dylan was going to say were him and the bride’s dad, Steve, who was the mastermind behind the speech which left guests in sitiches.

Dylan’s dad Alan Taylor, 39, who’s been with his wife Amy for 16 years, said: “Basically Amy’s dad Steve wrote his and Dylan’s speech and originally at the beginning of Steve’s speech he said ‘I’ve been told the best man’s speech shouldn’t take any longer than it takes the groom to make love.’

When he was practising Dylan found it really funny and Steve asked if he knew what that means and he said ‘of course I know what it means’!

“So Steve said well why don’t you do it for your speech then, and so they practised it together!”

The newlywed, who runs SUP North paddlepaddle boarding group in Southport, met Amy whilst working at Drayton Manor Theme Park in 1999.

The father-of-two, who also has an eight-year-old daughter, Sofie, added: “It was just the way he delivered it, it was great – we were all just so shocked!”

“Everyone delivered quite good speeches and that just eclipsed everything.”

Dylan’s speech has now gone viral with nearly two million views after Alan’s best friend filmed the video and sent it to The Lad Bible which is one of the largest online community websites for men.

However, Dylan is no stranger to the camera as in the past he has appeared on television programmes Tarrant Lets the Kids Loose and game show Keep It In The Family, alongiside his parents.
