Don’t miss carol wagon

THE Southport Christmas carol wagon is continuing its journey around the town this week.

The popular festive float is operated by volunteers from Southport Hesketh Round Table.

Watch out - and listen out - for Father Christmas and his helpers providing a great spectacle for local children to enjoy.

Tablers are also gratefully accepting any donations you wish to make as they travel round.

These donation are then distributed between several local charities.

This year’s Santa sleigh visits began on Monday (December 5).

The visits start at 6.30pm each night.

Not every street in Southport is covered – this event is run purely by volunteers – but people are invited to come and see Santa at a street near you.

A Southport Hesketh Round Table spokesman said: “Santa only visits the 60 named streets, we start around 6.30pm at the first road on the list on that day and he’s out till 8.30pm.

“If your street isn’t named feel free to visit Santa on any other road, we visit each street for about 20 minutes.” This year’s Santa Float route is:
