Community Link Foundation
THERE are many ways to fundraise and we would love to hear from anyone who is up for a challenge!
Over the last couple of years we have had people hold all sorts of fundraising events and sponsored activities for us; ranging from cheese and wine evenings to farmers’ markets.
As Vicky Simpson, reservations manager at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, prepares to run the Paris Marathon to raise money for Community Link Foundation, we would like to encourage others to consider us when planning their next adventure.
On our website, www.clfoundation.co.uk, there is a link to a Virgin Money site.
You can donate directly to Community Link Foundation through that site but it also gives tons of ideas for events and activities that you can do for us.
There is a Personal Challenge section that gives ideas including everything from doing a triathlon to growing a beard, a sponsored silence or losing weight.
Or of course you can decide on your own activity, and we would be able to support you with your plans.
There is a special occasion section that includes making a donation to CLF instead of getting birthday presents, or donating a monthly amount as a New Year’s resolution.
Googling ‘fundraising ideas’ will give you plenty of ideas if you can’t find anything to suit you on our pages, or alternatively we’d love to have a chat with you and we can come up with some ideas together.
We have been able to give out some grants recently to help some amazing organisations, and this has only been possible thanks to the generosity of people and businesses from across the area.
In order to keep doing this, we need your help.
Enda Rylands, chairman of Community Link Foundation, said: “We would love people to get in touch and we can help to plan fundraising activity that will help local organisations and individuals.
“In the last couple of months we have been able to help some really worthy organisations, such as providing funding for Southport Community Church to hold a Christmas event for the homeless.
“We would love to have more people helping us to raise funds that can be given back to the local community.”
