Killer should never leave jail

-

MITCHELL QUY should never be released for what he did to his wife and the pain he inflicted on their children and her family.

The callous killer murdered his wife Lynsey – then brazenly told the world she had abandoned her children.

Quy, who made several TV appearances – including one on the ITV show This Morning, reportedly became obsessed with media attention and public grief.

Cowardly Quy had no qualms about covering his tracks with lie upon lie upon lie – many told in the full glare of the media spotlight.

Calmly and with no conscience whatsoever, he made public appeals for his wife to get in touch and lapped up the limelight when he appeared in a documentary about the then unsolved case of his wife’s “disappearance”.

Lynsey would never have even contemplated walking out on her children – and the idea that she would do so at Christmas was insulting.

In the aftermath, her brother, Peter, took his life, unable to cope with the loss of his sister and the way in which she had been killed.

Lynsey’s daughter, Robyn, who was just three when her mum was killed, told the

of the family’s joy at finding out that Quy has this week been refused parole.

Not only did he commit a gruesome murder, he destroyed the lives of an entire family, and arrogantly paraded himself in the media and revelled in the attention, all the while showing no signs of remorse or human emotion.

Can a man capable of such behaviour ever be rehabilitated?
