Comedy club packs the laughs

LAUGH Out Loud Comedy Club returns to Southport this weekend with an April Fool’s Day special.

Daliso Chaponda, John Hastings and Brennan Reece will headline at The Atkinson on Lord Street on Saturday (April 1).

Not many comedians are a raving success in every continent around the globe but Daliso Chaponda, pictured below, has breezed to success just about everywhere.

He is rock solid funny and never fails to reduce audiences to hysterics.

This dynamic African comedian began his comedy career in Canada at the prestigious The Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.

Subsequent appearances in the country followed, including CBC Television’s Trans Canada Comedy Trail, confirming his position as Africa’s top comic.

Along the way he’s racked up a clutch of TV credits including BBC Africa, Paramount Comedy, The World Stands Up as well as numerous shows in Australia and Canada.

John Hastings is an award-winning Canadian whose softly spoken comedy is powerfully funny.

And Brennan Reece is a likeable young North West comic being tipped for the top.

He has appeared on BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
