WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre in Burscough is inviting people to enjoy Dusty’s Giant Duck Hunt – and today we have FIVE family tickets to be won!

Nick Brooks, from WWT, said: “Martin Mere has lost some rather special ducks. A number of our giant yellow ducks have gone missing and we need children to help us and Dusty Duck find them this Easter holidays as part of Dusty’s Giant Duck Hunt.

“You’ll need to use all your special detective skills to track down these 25 cheeky birds and be in with a chance of winning a yummy chocolate treat and a certificate (It is 50p to enter).

“Dusty Duck is WWT’s new children’s character, exclusively designed by the world-famous Aardman studios to help us get children closer to nature.

“This year, for the first time, Dusty will be joining our annual giant duck hunt. He will help children to track down elusive giant yellow birds hidden high and low around our stunning grounds, in return for a delicious chocolate treat.

“Our wardens are great at counting up all the baby ducklings, goslings and cygnets waddling around our visitors’ feet at centres during the Easter holidays. But, for some reason, they keep missing these cheeky giant yellow rubber ducks – so come along to your local wetland centre and help us find them!”

As well as the giant duck hunt, Martin Mere also has a range of other family activities during the Easter holidays, including boat tours, crafts, den building, pond dipping, otter talks and feeds and you can take to the water on the canoe safari.

A whole new world of award-winning discovery awaits you at our WWT Wetland Centres. You can get close to amazing wildlife, such as otters and flamingos, take exciting boat safaris through water meadows and reeds, and see some of the world’s most dramatic and rare birds all in one place.

Added to this are exhilarating adventure playgrounds, special events, waterside cafes serving delicious homemade food and shops with unique gifts.

Martin Mere is fully accessible, with buggy and wheelchair-friendly pathways, comfortable hides and dis- abled and parent and baby facilities. Normal admission charges apply. WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre is open every day (except Christmas Day) 9.30am-6pm from Monday, March 27, and parking is free.
