Dream production for Epstein Theatre
THE Epstein Theatre is proud to present its first professional Shakespearian play, the most magical of comedies, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, brought to the stage by Daniel Taylor Productions Ltd.
An array of the city’s finest talents come together to tell this most remarkable of tales.
On a midsummer’s night, four young lovers find themselves wrapped in the dream-like arms of an enchanted forest where sprites lurk and fairies rule.
While a feuding Fairy King and Queen are at war, their paths are crossed by Bottom, Quince and their friends presenting a play within a play.
Chief mischief-maker Puck is on hand to ensure that the course of true love is anything but smooth, and games of fantasy, love and dreams ensue in Shakespeare’s most beguiling comedy.
Starring Liverpool actors Daniel Taylor as Bottom (Blood Brothers, Lennon Through A Glass Onion), Sharon Byatt as Titania (Mrs Johnstone Blood Brothers, Coronation Street), Chloe Taylor as Helena (Wicked), Johnny Schumacher as Oberon (Royal Shakespeare Company), James Templeton as Puck (Jesus Christ Superstar), Tim Lucas as Flute (Legally Blonde) and Sam Donovan as Lysander (Erics’s, Liverpool Everyman).
A Midsummer’s Night Dream runs from Tuesday, April 25 to Saturday, April 29.
