Stephen has second bite at dental award
A COSMETIC and implant dentist from Southport has been named the region’s Best Young Dentist for the second time.
Stephen Dodd, who has worked at 10Dental in Scarisbrick New Road for nine years, was announced as the 2017 winner for the North and Central region at The Dental Awards on Friday, May 12 – having also won the award in 2012.
The category was created with the aim of recognising an “outstanding” young dentist who is already making their mark on the profession.
Karen Delaney, 30, a dental nurse at 10Dental, also attended the awards evening, which was held at The Hilton Metropole NEC in Birmingham, after being shortlisted as a finalist out of hundreds of applicants for Dental Nurse of the Year
Stephen said: “To be named the Best Young Dentist once again is such an honour and I’m over the moon that my work has been recognised across the region.”
Karen, who has worked at 10Dental for 10 years, said: “It was my first awards event, so to be shortlisted exceeded all my expectations.”
