Peter Pan will fly into arts centre as live recording hits university screen

THE Arts Centre at Edge Hill University will be screening National Theatre Live presents Peter Pan.

Captured live at the National Theatre, this is a recorded performanc­e of JM Barrie’s much-loved tale which is playing at cinemas around the country this summer.

All children, except one, grow up…

When Peter Pan, leader of the Lost Boys, loses his shadow, headstrong Wendy helps him to reattach it.

In return, she is invited to Neverland, where Tinker Bell the fairy, Tiger Lily and the vengeful Captain Hook await.

The show is a riot of magic, music and makebeliev­e ensues.

A delight for children and adults alike, Sally Cookson (NT Live: Jane Eyre) directs this won- drously inventive production, a co-production with Bristol Old Vic theatre.

The Radio Times said it was “spellbindi­ngly imaginativ­e. A dazzling production”.

The show’s certiffica­te is PG and its duration is 152 minutes

The screening will take place on Saturday, June 10 at 2.30pm.

Tickets are £12 / £10 concs / £5 EHU students and a family ticket is £34 (two adults and two children or one adult and three children)
