McDonald’s reopens after digital revamp
MCDONALD’S on Ocean Plaza in Southport has reopened.
The fast food restaurant closed for a few weeks to undergo a “major digital makeover”, and reopened its doors yesterday (Wednesday, July 19).
Self service kiosks are among the changes. This allows visitors to browse the menu, look at nutritional information and personalise orders.
Another element is that table service has now been introduced.
Business manager, Dave Molloy, who operates seven restaurants in the area including the one on Ocean Plaza, said: “We’re anticipating the changes effecting how customers use the restaurant, with those who used to pop in for a quick bite staying longer to use the tech we have on offer.”
