Rob is leading the way at LOL Comedy Club evening

-

LOL Comedy Club returns to Southport with award-winning comedian Rob Deering at the helm.

Rob has cemented his reputation as one of the country’s finest stand-ups, taking six solo shows to the Edinburgh Festival, headlining all the major comedy clubs throughout Britain and taking part in Paramount Comedy’s Edinburgh And Beyond live show as well as his own Charmageddon and The Rob Deering Experience national tours.

He performs stand-up comedy with music, using a guitar, a loop pedal and his voice to create impressive rock and pop soundscapes – and do jokes, of course.

Rob has performed throughout the world, in shows from the Middle East to Melbourne, Shanghai to the South of France, and he has appeared on any number of Radio and TV shows.

On TV, Rob’s stand up appearances include Celebrity Juice (ITV2), The World Comedy Tour (Granada), The World Stands Up and Edinburgh And Beyond (Paramount Comedy Channel).

Rob has provided daily coverage for ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! and was the winner of The Weakest Link Comedians Special on BBC1.

Supporting Rob is Adam Staunton – young, small, scally and more than capable of bringing the house down.

He’s funny enough to have more than held his own on comedy bill with likes of Sarah Millican and John Bishop.

A sharp mixture of eagleeyed observation and simmering self-deprecation has so far endeared to growing audiences far and wide.

Always hilarious, Staunton’s act is a surefire bet for the next big thing.

Dutch comedian Wouter Meijs arrived in the UK in 2005 after a successful career in the Netherlands and has been very well received – a huge achievement considering he is performing in his second language!

Wouter now performs across the UK and has also been seen performing with his Dutch colleagues at the Edinburgh Festival 2007 and 2008 – as the Amsterdam Underground Comedy Collective.

Your MC is Damion Larkin, one of Britain’s most promising comedy talents, renowned for being a spontaneous and lovable host.

All line-ups are subject to change, but will only be replaced with someone twice as funny.

Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Tickets are £15 in advance / £18 on the door / £40 season ticket.
