Push the boat out for a day of family fun

THERE will be fun for all the family with the lifeboat crew at Lytham St Annes this Sunday.

Lifeboat Family Fun Day at the Boathouse on South Promenade, will be opened by the mayor, Cllr John Singleton, with Collin Ballard, the town crier at 11am.

This will be the last time the Mersey class lifeboat Her Majesty the Queen will be available for a guided tour before she is replaced early next year.

This will also be the first time the new inshore lifeboat Moam will be on display since she arrived last September.

Children will be entertaine­d by Nicky Flash with his magic show as well as a bouncy games.

There will be a pop-up café with tea, cakes and barbecue. castle and

Live music will be provided by Lytham St Annes Shanty Crew, Driftwood, Isabel Howitt, Bethany Harrison, Bandit and Repeater

Zumba Suzy and her zumba group along with the Karen Hunter Dancers will be there to get people up and moving.

There will also be lots of kites as the St Annes Internatio­nal Kite Festival takes off and plenty of games for the young and not so young to keep everyone busy and entertaine­d.

The Saxon Archers and HM Coastguard will be giving demonstrat­ions too .

o alongG to the Lifeboat House on South Promenade, next to the swimming baths, on Sunday, September 3 to join the fun and help the RNLI raise the funds for the new Shannon class Lifeboat coming to Lytham St Annes early next year.
