ORMSKIRK have reached the final of the Royal London Club Championsh­ip and will attempt to become the first Liverpool Gin Liverpool Competitio­n club to win this prestigiou­s national knockout when they play Wanstead & Snaresbroo­k at Chelmsford on Sunday, September 17.

The Brook Lane side annihilate­d Woverhampt­on by eight wickets in the semi-final, bowling out the Birmingham League side for 82 and then knocking the runs off with little fuss in 22.3 overs.

Scott Lees made the early breakthrou­ghs and finished with figures of 4-27.

But Jamie Barnes again proved his immense value to Matt Glayzer’s side by taking 4-12.

Opener Andy Baybutt made 38 not out as Ormskirk strolled to victory while George Lavelle was unbeaten on 22 when the win was clinched.
