Kirk reach London final
ORMSKIRK have reached the final of the Royal London Club Championship and will attempt to become the first Liverpool Gin Liverpool Competition club to win this prestigious national knockout when they play Wanstead & Snaresbrook at Chelmsford on Sunday, September 17.
The Brook Lane side annihilated Woverhampton by eight wickets in the semi-final, bowling out the Birmingham League side for 82 and then knocking the runs off with little fuss in 22.3 overs.
Scott Lees made the early breakthroughs and finished with figures of 4-27.
But Jamie Barnes again proved his immense value to Matt Glayzer’s side by taking 4-12.
Opener Andy Baybutt made 38 not out as Ormskirk strolled to victory while George Lavelle was unbeaten on 22 when the win was clinched.
