Former pupils’ reunion invitation

-

FORMER pupils of Christ The King high school in Southport are being invited to a school reunion.

The event is for pupils born between September 1966 and August 1967, with those from nearby years as well as spouses and former teachers also very welcome.

Former pupil Siobhan Feely said: “We are holding a CTK (Christ The King) reunion from 7pm onwards in The Scarisbrick Hotel, Southport kicking off in The Barons Bar on Saturday October 28, as many of us used to meet there for a sedate chat in peace before moving on to livelier locations within the town.

“This night is not just exclusively targeted at such pupils but also for those ex-pupils who attended Christ The King in the years both above and below. Basically anyone who is from around our ilk and wants to have a catch-up! I wouldn’t like for other year groups of around our age to feel that they are excluded. They’re not!

“This is a result of being urged by other year group members who commented that we only see each other at funerals, and wouldn’t it be lovely if we were to all meet up for an enjoyable evening.

“Thankfully there’s been a huge response!”

The event will take place at ‘The Brick’ (the Scarisbrick Hotel, 239 Lord Street, Southport, PR8 1NZ from 7pm on Saturday, October 28.

If anyone is interested in the reunion please visit the Christ The King School Re-Union event on Facebook.
