X-Factor star from 2006, David Heath will play the Scarecrow, and hilarious Richard Hazlewood will play the Cowardly Lion.

Guaranteed to give an oilslick performance as Tinman is the panto regular Philip McGuiness.

The Wizard Of Oz is a firm family favourite which tells the story of young Dorothy Gale and her dog, Toto, as they embark on a wondrous adventure over the rainbow in the magical land of Oz.

Chantelle Nolan, producer of The Wizard Of Oz, said: “We are very excited to continue our tour of the North West.

“We had an amazing time during the run of the show in St Helens last year and critics are raving about our recent Stockport show.

“Audiences seem to go mad for it with many families making return visits.”

And Visiter readers have been given the opportunity to win a family ticket (for two adults and two children).

All you have to do to be in with a chance to win is tell us what Dorothy’s dog is called: A) Toby. B) Toto. C) Teddy. Please email your answers with ‘Wizard Of Oz Competition’ at the subject to: visiternews@southport visiter.co.uk by midday on Friday, October 20.
