Greg is branching out

-

AN award-winning landscape designer is expanding his business - and the new studio is officially opening today.

Gregory Mook, 49, from Birkdale, has been a landscape designer since he established Mook Gardens Limited 28 years ago.

The existing business is a call-out service, where workmen will come to your home and design, construct or maintain features of your garden.

He has also designed show gardens at Southport Flower Show for over 20 years, and has won several ‘large gold’ and ‘gold’ awards for his work.

The 49-year-old, who achieved a Higher National Diploma in garden design at Myerscough College, has now decided to open a studio to allow him to focus more on garden designs.

The new studio is based within Lady Green Garden Centre, located on Lady Green Lane, where he can showcase his designs.

The new store is set to include samples of materials and mock-up designs, and staff will be on hand to virtually design your garden.

Gregory said: “This is something I have always wanted to do.

“I can’t wait to get started, I think relocating will only be good for the business.

“This will give customers the opportunity to actually come and see what materials they can choose from for their gardens.”

The company currently employs around 15 people, including Greg’s wife, Jill, 48, and their two daughters Kayleigh, 27, and Jenine, 28.

The new studio officially opens for business today (Thursday, November 30) from 9am, and a launch party will be held from 4.30pm until 7.30pm.

There will be wine and cheese on offer, and everyone is welcome.
