COMMUNITY Link Foundation gave out grants totalling £54,000 in 2017 – and hopes for another successful year ahead.

The charity which fundraises for groups and individuals in the local community is hoping that people will get behind it even more this year and help raise plenty of money for it to distribute.

Enda Rylands, chairman of Community Link Foundation, said: “We would like to wish all our supporters a very Happy New Year.

“We are very grateful to everyone who has given us their time and support during 2017 and has been there to help with fundraising, or offer support where needed.

“Thank you to all of the companies who continue to sponsor us and offer their support to the events that we hold.

“2017 has been a successful year for the charity and we have been able to give out grants to some very deserving applicants.

“We are looking forward to more great events in 2018 and hope to be able to help even more people and organisations.”

Community Link Foundation has its own lottery called the 600 Club and every month one person wins £1,000.

An additional five people win £100 each month.

While winning could give you a nice boost after Christmas, it will also help to raise funds that the CLF can give to good causes in Southport, Ormskirk, Formby and the surrounding areas.

It costs just £5 per month and only 600 people are allowed in the club.

The money that is raised through the 600 Club is then used to go towards the grants that are given out across the area.
