Birthday is a piece of cake for Babyballet dancers

-

BABYBALLET Southport, Formby and Crosby danced into their eighth year of business with a magical party held at Argyle Road Tennis Club, Southport on Friday, February 16.

More than 100 partygoers were greeted by Twinkle the Babyballet bear and Flutterstar the magical fairy, followed by singing, dancing and games with Babyballet manager/ teacher, Rebekah Ryan. Rebekah was assisted by fellow Babyballet teachers, Danielle and Heidi, as the partygoers danced along to all their favourites.

The youngters fell silent and the grown-ups were left with goosebumps after a solo by Flutterstar the fairy.

Rebekah said: “I had so much fun dancing with all the little stars, it was just magical to see all their faces when the characters came into the room”

Babyballet mascot Twinkle the bear also joined in, dancing to Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and It’s Babyballet Time.

There was also a cake, created by Louisa from A Piece of Cake, with pink icing, a mini Twinkle bear and magic wand.

Jennifer Berrett, owner of Baby- ballet Southport, Formby and Crosby attended the event with her children, 19-month-old Felicity and eightweek-old Fredrick.

She said “I can’t believe it has been eight years since our very first class, I feel so lucky to have such an amazing team holding the pink reins while I enjoy some precious time off.

“What an amazing journey Twinkle and I have been on have been on so far. I have met so many lovely people and I have loved teaching and getting to know each and every Babyballet star.

“The Babyballet teachers and I feel privileged to share such a special time watching the little ones grow and develop and can’t thank everyone enough for all their loyal support.

“Here’s ‘tutu’ another fun filled year!”
