BID widens net to attract shoppers

-

SOUTHPORT BID has launched a new shopping directory for the town.

The website shopping insouthport.com has been created as a sister site to Visit Southport help promote the range of things on offer in the resort.

The site, a directory of all Southport town centre shops, allows shoppers to search any store by name or to explore to find what they are looking for and discover shops near them.

The website will also list all the current offers and promotions and any upcoming sales.

It will regularly feature news and updates from shops and brands around the town centre.

Shopping in Southport also has a “where to eat” guide to help people find a spot for coffee or lunch during a day’s shopping, or the nearest bar for a cocktail at the end of it all.

Shoppers can also find out more and keep updated about latest sales, new lines in store and more by following Shop Southport on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter or using the hashtag #shopsouthport.

Hugh Evans of Southport BID said: “We wanted to create a site that pulled together all the great brands that Southport offers, together with the superb independents that can be found throughout the town centre and help shoppers discover what is on offer if you explore.

“The partnership with Visit Southport will really allow the site to reach as many people as possible and give the shops great exposure and help promote the town centre’s retail core alongside the tourist attractions.”
