SOUTHPORT Rugby Football Club held its Annual Senior Awards ball at the Floral Hall in Southport.
Themed on the Great Gatsby era, the dining room was filled with flappers and dappers dressed to suit.
The event brought the 2017/18 season to its conclusion with recognition for key volunteers and the players.
Top of the list was Tom Hill taking the honours with three First XV trophies, followed by Alison Morris with two Ladies trophies, her team mate Steff Sillitto winning Most Improved Ladies Player.
Chris Cunningham, Graham Whyte and Callum Tootle came up trumps for the Second XV, Third XV and Colts Players of the Year respectively, with Charlie Southwood and Haydn Barnes winning the other Colts awards.
Kristian Griffiths capped an excellent sea- son as First XV Newcomer of the Year with the final award of the evening going to Louise Dale, the massively deserved Club Person of the Year.
Diners were entertained by MC and DJ Trevor Ford, later joined by his sidekick, Dave Quinn, for the raffle and auction, a 1930s style soloist and band the Whiskey Chasers.
With training commencing at Scarisbrick Hall School this week the club is already preparing for next season with the First XV possibly facing new challenges in North Lancashire and Cumbria depending on planned RFU reorganisation of the leagues at this level 7 and below.
