THE Drifters are back on the road in the UK, performing their classic hits from the last six decades and they come to Southport Theatre on Friday, July 13.

The legendary group have been inducted into the Rock & Roll of fame, performed for the US President and been listed among the greatest artists of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.

Don’t miss them performing classics such as Saturday Night At Movies, You’re More Than A Number, Come on Over to My Place, Up On The Roof, Under the Boardwalk, Kissin In The Back Row, Save The Last Dance For Me and more! THE Pauline Quirke Academy perform All the World’s a Rainbow at The Atkinson Theatre on Saturday, July 14.

The show consists of three performanc­es: A Slice of Dahl performed by Green Group & Poppets; A Wonderful Dream performed by Blue Group; and Willy Russell’s Our Day Out performed by Red Group.

The show starts at 6pm. Tickets cost £15 plus booking fee. Booking fee is £1 per ticket online/phone. For more info and tickets see www.theatkinso­n.co.uk A TEA dance takes place on Monday, July 16 from 1.30 pm-3.30pm in The Atkinson Studio. Entry is £2, pay on the door.

Live entertainm­ent will be provided by Sefton Opera (Sefton Older Persons Enabling Resource & Action) featuring Elvis, music from bands Memory Lane and Remember When and a variety of jawdroppin­g dance routines from The Bootle Belles, aimed at the over 50s, with plenty of chance to get up and dance too! ON Saturday, July 21 Learn to play Hnefatafl from 10am-3pm at The Atkinson; entry is free, donations welcome.

Hnefatafl has been featured in the Viking: Rediscover the Legend exhibition, and you can now learn to play one of the oldest games in the world, also known as The Viking Game. Learn to play Hnefatafl with world champion Leo Kolassa and local enthusiast Tony Higginson. All ages welcome.
