Tributes galore at FamFest
FAMFEST Warrington has revealed A great line-up of music to entertain festival-goers has been revealed for a family-friendly North West event next month.
FamFest Warrington is coming to Orford Jubilee Park, in Warrington, on the weekend of August 11-12, and is a new addition to the region’s cultural calendar.
Local music star Mo Jamil, winner of The Voice last year, will make a special guest appearance on Saturday, August 11.
He was mentored by American singer and actress Jennifer Hudson, and was crowned winner after a hotly-contested live final where he went head-to-head with Welsh duo Into The Ark for the prestigious title and a recording contract.
On Saturday, August 11, live performances will celebrate the music of Bruno Mars, Madonna, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Will Smith, Michael Jackson and Ariana Grande.
And the music continues throughout the day on Sunday, August 12, with all the hits from Little Mix (Little Fix – winners of the 2017 National Tribute Music Awards) Katy Perry, Jesse J, Coldplay, Kaiser Chiefs, Lionel Ritchie, Taylor Swift, Jess Glynne, George Michael and Take That.
FamFest Warrington is the brainchild of Wire FM founder Pete Pinnington, who promises a weekend of amazing activities and events for all the family.
The festival runs from 11am to 10pm on both Saturday and Sunday, and along with the busy music line-up there will also be live shows and performances by Beauty & The Beast, The Minions, Mister Maker and Basil Brush.
Visitors to FamFest Warrington will also be able to meet a wide range of characters throughout the two-day family festival including Darth Vader and Stormtroopers, Balthazar Bratz and The Minions, Beauty & The Beast, Ironman, Hulk, Mr T (A-Team), princesses and many more!
Ticket entry will give visitors access to Sports Zone, Kids Zone and Circus Skills activities, the Basil Brush Show, a Kids Craft Zone with Disney’s Art Attack presenter Lloyd Warbey, Character Zone and a Princesses Pamper Pavilion as well as the main stage tribute artists and shows.
Mister Maker and his live shows only take place on Saturday.
There will also be food and drink, including a full licensed bar, and a VIP marquee.
