Triple bill of jokers on Atkinson Saturday night stand-up bill

ON THE first Saturday of every month, the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club offer a raucous evening of entertainment, bringing the best live stand-up to Southport!

Next month’s event features multi-award-winning writer and stand-up Gavin Webster, UK Comedy Awards winner Dan Nightingale and one-off musical phenomenon Tom Taylor.

The host is comedian Damion Larkin, who will often improvise his entire set to hilarious effect.

He is a versatile and creative comedian who always leaves audiences wanting more.

All line-ups are subject to change, but, don’t worry, they will only replace them with someone twice as funny.

Gavin Webster is an award-winning act and legendary, long-standing, influential yet unpredict- able comedian from the North-East of England.

He’s been going almost 25 years now!

After making his modest debut in a pub in Gateshead in February, 1993 (on the same bill as Ross Noble!) he’s done about seven thousand gigs performing all over the world.

Famed and respected by his peers for his uncompromising and unusual approach and distinctly original routines, he now boasts a large cult following round the country.

Gavin has also supported some of the biggest household names on tour, including Kevin Bridges and Alexei Sayle.

Dan Nightingale mixes fiendishly accurate observations with energetic characterisations and killer punchlines.

His comedy is original, playful, intelligent, poignant and exciting; sometimes for ridiculous … but always hilarious.

He has also appeared on John Bishop’s Only Joking (Sky TV) and supported Ross Noble on his UK tour. He’s exciting, spontaneous, creative, a true original and, most of all, he’s truly funny.

Unfazed by offers of fame and fortune, he’s one of the best and most admired comics on the international circuit.

Tom Taylor is something of a one-off phenomenon with a brand of musical comedy that is smart and silly in equal measure.

His style is certainly unique and he reels off an impressive stock of quirky, and very funny, musical one-liners.
