Lovely show puts down the roots of theatre for the young
HALF Moon present Leaf at The Atkinson on Saturday, September 8. A leaf is born… It grows and glows in the sunshine and the rain.
Then the wind blows and becomes colder.
The leaf changes colour. it In the snow, the leaf falls… But when spring comes, a new leaf grows…
Join Haf Moon as they tell the life story of a very special leaf in this warm, intimate and playful new piece for under-threes inspired by nature and the seasons.
Framed within an evocative sound- scape, this is the perfect introduction to theatre for the very young.
Leaf is another heart-warming play created by Tam Tam Theatre, whose previous shows for very young children include Circles in the Sand and Curious.
The company’s founder, Marleen Vermeulen, created Leaf in collabor- ation with director Joy Haynes.
At the end of the performance, children are invited on to the stage to play among the leaves and explore a landscape created by the changing seasons.
Performance is suitable for ages three and under.
There are three performances tak- ing place at 11.30am, 1pm and 3pm on Saturday, September 8.
Tickets cost £8 (£6 children / £24 family) plus booking fee of £1 per ticket online/phone.
