Get ready for Hallowe’en fun

BE PREPARED for a fright as scary creatures descend on Coronation Park, Ormskirk, for Hallowe’en.

There are plenty of scary goings-on planned between 6pm and 8pm on Wednesday, October 31 at the Hallowe’en extravagan­za, including scary walks through the woods with vampires, witches, ghosts and more.

Live music will be provided by The Doctors, and Base Dance will be showing off their Hallowe’enstyle dance moves.

There will also be fancy dress and best pumpkin competitio­ns at 7pm.

And on Saturday, October 27, people can enjoy carving scary pumpkins at Stanley Coronation Park, Skelmersda­le, at 10am and Richmond Park, Burscough, at 2pm.

Another pumpkin carving session is planned at Coronation Park, Ormskirk at 2pm on Sunday.

Booking is essential for the pumpkin carving. To reserve your place, call 01695 570258 or 01695 622794.

The pumpkins from the carving sessions will be dotted around Coronation Park, Ormskirk, at Hallowe’en and the best three will be given a prize.

Cllr Yvonne Gagen, West Lancashire Borough Council portfolio holder for leisure, said: “Hallowe’en will definitely be a scream at Coronation Park, Ormskirk, so don’t miss this fantastic evening of fun and games for all the family.”

Children under 16 must be accompanie­d by an adult at all events.
