SOUTH­PORT BID’s an­nual Hal­lowe’en event is back this week for half-term – and there are four days of great events planned to pro­vide spooky fun for fam­i­lies.

A fam­ily-friendly spook fest, the fes­ti­val in­vites you to take your chances at get­ting out to the other side with all man­ner of wicked witches and cheeky ghosts try­ing their best to cause mis­chief.

The Haunted Maze

Try not to get lost in the spooky maze as mis­chievous ghosts and ghouls try to thwart and con­fuse you.

Town Hall Gar­dens, Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 25 to Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 28.

Small en­try fee, suit­able for ages eight and up.

Here Be Drag­ons

Ever wanted to see a dragon up close? Watch as two gi­ant drag­ons swoop and soar through the streets, breath­ing smoke as they go.

Chapel Street, Satur­day, Oct 27 – Shows 11am & 3pm; Walk­a­bout, 1.30pm.

Pi­rate Pan­de­mo­nium Crew

The ghost-crew of the Scurvy Shark are doomed to sail the seven seas, cast adrift on the oceans of time. Scares and scrapes lit­ter the way dur­ing two ac­tion-packed shows. Get all dressed up in your best sea­far­ing gear and join the pa­rade at 2pm. Chapel Street, Thurs­day, Oct 25 –Shows 11am & 12.30pm

Join in our Pi­rate Pan­de­mo­nium Pa­rade at 2pm.

Trick or Treat

Join Starkidz and their mis­chief­mak­ing, spooky friends on a trick or treat trail, all end­ing in danc­ing, silli­ness and Hal­lowe’en may­hem!

Chapel Street, Fri­day, Oct 26: 11am, 1pm, 3pm.

The Great­est Hal­lowe’en Show

See hoop ac­ro­bats, spec­tac­u­lar jug­gling and all man­ner of cir­cus spec­ta­cle in an af­ter­noon of pop up per­for­mances and sur­prises with a grand fi­nale at 2.50pm. It is free to at­tend, so just come along to see the spec­ta­cle.

The Tre­ants

Look out lum­ber­ing, myth­i­cal trees as they come to life and wan­der among us with their tree-men­dous tree-re­lated fun.

‘Scare’crow Fes­ti­val

They put the “scare” into scare­crow – catch Wes­ley Street’s an­nual Scare­crow Fes­ti­val and watch their story un­fold.

Wes­ley Street, Oc­to­ber 20-31.

Creepy Crea­tures Trail

There will be pump­kins pop­ping up in shop win­dows through­out town.

Grab a map from Way­farer’s or The Atkin­son and hunt down each pump­kin, Oc­to­ber 20-31.

Hal­lowe’en Spec­tac­u­lar

Thou­sands of pump­kins will adorn South­port Plea­sure­land.
